Shipwreck III (variation) consists in an intervention on the medium of photography instead of directly in a landscape. By nailing colored pins that refer to the plastic bottles in black and white photographs, Rey reinforces the contrast between the natural and the artificial. Those “three-dimensional” photographs show the irreversible effects of climate change and the consequences of the human footprint on the environment through the consumption of plastic.
